OUR PRODUCTS

Sheet Moulding Compound and Bulk Moulding Compound (or Dough Moulding Compound) are part of the so-called thermosetting materials, for which there is no softening point: for SMC, BMC and DMC the cross-linking between resin and solvent leads to an irreversible hardening. SMC comes in the form of a mat welded in boxes or wrapped on rolls, while BMC and DMC are in raw form: a pasty material packed in bags.

SMC

General Purpose

Wide range of applications, typically structural in nature with no flammability requirements.

Corrosion Resistant

Unsaturated polyester or vinyl ester materials to reach the strict performance requirements of pipe flanges and pumps (usually impacted by corrosive environment).

Heat and Corrosion Resistant

Suitable for sanitary, cookware, appliance and indirect food contact application.

Low Shrink

Intended for applications requiring shrink < 0,1%. This product is recommended for components requiring very precise tolerances, especially designed for overmoulding of various components.

Dielectric & Flame Resistant

Suitable for electrical applications requiring flammability performance from UL94 HB and V-0.

Electrical Insulators & Flame Resistant

High strength materials. Suitable for electrical applications requiring dielectric properties and flammability performance from UL94 HB and V-0.

High Temperature Resistant

Product with high temperature stability for applications requiring high service temperatures

Low Profile

A product with improved surface quality. Pigmentable but not available in all colours. Typical applications are body panels for trucks, commercial vehicles or farm vehicles.

Class – A

Class-A SMC for exterior body applications on cars, LCV ́s and trucks. These compounds mould to parts with good up to excellent surface quality for painted body panels.

Automotive Front Lighting

BMC for headlamp reflectors.

Antistatic

This product provides some conductivity to provide antistatic properties for explosion proof components

Low Smoke Density and Toxicity

SMC for Railway application with high flame retardancy, low smoke density and toxicity.

GRP Doors

SMC that provides an incredibly robust and durable product that can be used in both commercial and residential applications.

Oil & Drilling

High performance composites that offer an innovative alternative to traditional metals and non-reinforced plastics

Manhole Covers

These materials provide traffic rated loadings and a lightweight type of final product. UV stable if needed

SMC

Sheet Moulding Compound is a sheet material composed primarily of polyester resin, mineral fillers and glass fibers. Resin, fillers, and additives are mixed together resulting in a paste of honey-like consistency, which is then pumped into an “impregnating” machine equipped with a cutter that adds the reinforcing fiber in a predetermined and constant amount.

BMC

Bulk Moulding Compound is a material that appears as a homogeneous mass, composed mainly of polyester resin, mineral fillers and glass fibers. The polyester resin and additives are first mixed, then the resulting paste is transferred to a kneading machine where the mineral fillers and chopped (pre-cut) fiberglass, typically 6 or 12 mm in length, are then added.
